.
solve for x on the interval [0,2pi)
3cosx-1=2
first i isolated cosx and got cosx=1
i did cos^-1(1) to find x and got 0 but i am being told that 0 is not the correct answer. help me please?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3cos(x) - 1 = 2  --->
3cos(x) = 2 + 1  --->  3cos(x) = 3  --->  cos(x) = 1  --->  x = 0 (zero).
The only solution is x = 0 (zero).
There is no other solutions.
0 (zero) IS CORRECT ANSWER.
