Question 1041412: Find Sec (theta), Sin (theta), and Tan (theta). Where theta is the angle shown in the figure. Give exact values not decimal approximations.
Image Description -
It is a right triangle, that has a hypotenuse of 7 and an adjacent side of 4. With no listed opposite length, and no other listed angle than the one 90 degree one.The theta is in the corner where the hypotenuse and adjacent touch.
I know this question may be tough without a picture but I would greatly appreciate all help! Thank you so much!

Using the Pythagorean Theorem we have
:
opposite side^2 = 7^2 - 4^2 = 33
opposite side = square root(33)
:
***************************************************************************
Sec (theta) = 1 / cos (theta) = 1 / (4/7) = 7/4
Sin (theta) = square root (33) / 7
Tan (theta) = sin (theta) / cos (theta) = (square root (33) / 7) / (4/7) = square root (33) / 4
