Question 1037962: What is the solution set in the interval 0
3-3sin theta = 6 cos^2theta
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3-3sin theta = 6 cos^2theta
1 - sin = 2cos^2 = 2(1-sin^2)
2sin^2 - sin - 1 = 0
(2sin + 1)*(sin - 1) = 0
sin = 1
theta = pi/2
----
sin = -1/2
theta = 7pi/6, 11pi/6
