Question 1033306: Solve 2sin^2 x - 7 sin x + 3 =0 for all real values of x
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve 2sin^2 x - 7 sin x + 3 =0 for all real values of x
------
2sin^2(x) - 6sin(x) -sin(x) + 3 = 0
------
2sin(x)(sin(x)-3) - (sin(x)-3)
------
(sin(x)-3)(2sin(x)-1)
----
sin(x) = 3 (extraneous)
or
sin(x) = 1/2
x = pi/6 +- 2npi or x = (5/6)pi +/- 2npi
