(5x + 4)(2x - 5) = 10x^2 - 25x + 8x - 20 = 10x^2 - 17x - 20

(5x + 4)(2x - 5)
10x^2-25x+8x-20=
10x^2-17x-20
Multiply each of the first two terms by each of the second two terms. Two middle terms will contain an x, and one term an x^2 and the last a number.
