Question 1019506: sin (A-B) / sin (A+B) = 5/7, show tan A = h tanB, Find h
Answer by robertb(5830)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

after dividing both numerator and denominator by cosA*cosB
Now from the original equation we have

Cross-multiply and simplify, giving
7tanA -7tanB = 5tanA + 5tanB
==> 2tanA = 12tanB
==> tanA = 6tanB
the problem is solved, and h = 6.
