Question 20859: Given the coordinates of the midpoints of the sides of a triangle find the coordinates of the vertices of the triangle.
Midpoint Coordinates:
L(-2,1)
M(2,3)
N(3,-2)
I know that you can plot the coordinates and then draw in the triangle and find the coordinates of the vertices that way, but I was wondering if there was an easier or mathematical way to go about solving the problem. Thank you for looking this over.

Question 21412: This is a geometry question, from my algebra class, we are working on quadatric equations. Iam so confused. I know the formula for area of a triangle. A = 1/2 b x h. But can't figure out how to come up with an equation to figure out how to do this.
The question:
The base of a triangle is 4 feet less than 3 times the height, and the area is 16 square feet. Find the dimensions of the triangle (Note: need to set up an equation to sove the problem) Please help!! Thank you.

Question 21164: I need help with this problem:
The area of a triange is 90 square feet. The height is 2 less than twice the base. Find the base and height of the triangle.
So, A=90 sq ft and the area of a triangle is 1/2 x B x H. The height of my triangle is going to be 2b-2. Here's where the problem is...I don't know what to do next or how to find what my base is. Any help will be great. Thanks!!

Question 24470: I am stuck on this question:
A right triangle is a triangle with one angle measuring 90degrees. In a right triangle, the sides are realted by Pythagorean Theorem,c squared=a squared+b squared where c is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the 90 degree angle). Find the hypotenuse when the other 2 sides' measurements are 3 feet and 4 feet?

Question 24532: PLEASE HELP WITH THIS TOO!
In a certain triangle, the first angle measures 9 degrees less than the second angle. The third angle measures 3 degrees more than the second angle. Find the measures of all three angles.
I can solve this if I have the degrees of two sides, but this doesn't give any. I thought I should let x=second angle, x-9=first angle, and x+3=third angle but I didn't know where to go from there(or if that was the way to start)

Question 26185: a landscape architect designed a flower bed in a shape of a triangle with side lengths 12,14,15.the architech needs to know the area of the flower bed.
My Notes to you: it shows a triangle. base is 14 and the sides are 13 and 15. with a line down the middle.
I belive Im suppose to use the pangerium therom
All I need to know how to find the height.
Ive tried to split 14 in different ways but the height is not the same on both sides
Thanks for all the help!!!

Question 26340: The triangle A (lower left hand corner of the triangle) B (lower right hand corner) C (top of triangle) =ABC, is an equilateral triangle where each side of the triangle is 6. What is the height of h if h is the dotted vertical line down the center?
I am having a hard time trying to copy and paste the triangle with my question. Hopefully, you can imagine what I am trying to say. The picture looks like an equilateral triangle w/ a dotted vertical line down the middle. The three sides of the triangle is 6 and the three points of the triangle is ABC.
Thanks,
Kristin
