Question 141055: A ladder is leaning against a wall. The distance from the bottom of the ladder to the wall is 3 feet less than the length of the ladder. Find the length of the ladder, if the distance of its top to the ground is 4 feet less than the length of the ladder.
I know that visualy the ladder is x, the base from the ladder to the wall is x-3 and from the base to the top of the ladder it is x-4, I just don't klnow how to plug this into an equasion adn solve. Thank you.

Question 141090: How can you find the area and perimeter of a regular triangle with only the apothem given. Or at least the line from the top to the center, I think thats what its called. In the case of the problem, the length is ten.

Question 141194: I have a worksheet
The measure of the vertex angle of an isosceles triangle is 126. Find the measure of each base angle.
I'm not sure how to do this.
Also,
If the measure of an exterior angle drawn at vertex M of triangle LMN is x, then m angle L + m angle N is what?
I am so confused. I don't understand this geometry at all.

Question 142612: An airplane is flying 0.75 miles above the ground. If the pilot must begin a 4° descent to an airport runway, how far is the airplane from the beginning of the runway ( in ground distance) to the nearest tenth of a mile. Question 142607: To find the hypotenuse of a right triangle the equation is a2+b2=c2, but what is the equation for finding the hypotenuse of an obtuse triangle.
Example would be a 12 foot addition to a house with a new roof having an 18 degree angle laid upon an existing roof having a 45 degree angle.

Question 144262: How many cubes measuring 1cm on each edge can fit into a box 4cm by 5cm by 6cm?
-i tried it and ended up getting 120 cubes just by making a diagram and counting it out, but my teacher said it wasn't right. Is there some sort of equation i have to use?

THE PICTURE SHOWS RIGHT TRIANGLE WITH ONE 90 DEGREE ANGLE AND ONE 52 DEGREE ANGLE. I KNOW THE OTHER ANGLE WOULD BE 38 DEGREES. THE ONLY LENGTH I ASSUME GIVEN WOULD BE 23FT WHICH IS ONE LEG THE OTHER LEG IS NOT GIVEN NOR HYPOTENUSE.

the problem is
38. Six coins are arranged in a triangular shape as shown. Rearrange the coins to form a circular shape by movie only two coins. To "move" a coin, you must slide it along the surface without disturbing any other coins, and place it in a new position so that it is touching another coin.
