Question 494714: A man wants to build a teepee for his kids. He plans to use 10 foot poles for the supports and wants the base of the teepee to be 12 foot across. What would the height be?
It has been years since I did anything like this so I don't even know where to begin. It's an algebra problem.

Question 494949: There is a triangle with two lines drawn from hypotenuse to longest leg, creating three similar triangles, each one is a right triangle. You are told that the two line segments (drawn on the inside of the triangle) create 3 lines of equal size (on the side of the hypotenuse of largest triangle) Then you are told that the area of the smallest triangle is 42 and asked to find the area of the largest triangle. (you are not given any lengths)

Question 494919: One side of the triangle is 1 in. longer than the shortest side and is 1 in. shorter than the longest side. The perimeter is 17 in. Find the dimensions of the the triangle.
I have tried 1x+(-x)+1x = 17 in. but it just doesnt seem right. thanks for your help!

The first triangle is lying down with point C on the right and it has a 84 degree angle. Side A is 14 and side B is 30. The second triangle is standing up with point C at the top. It has a 28 degree angle and side A' is 28.
