Question 391235: justneed to check my answer to this problem...once again working with sin, cos, and tan in the math solver.
the question: the leaning tower of piza is 179 feet high, making a 5.1 degree angle with the vertical. find the distance from the base of the tower to the vertical. round your solution to the nearest foot.
i got: 178.3 feet by putting cos(5.1)-(x/179) into the math solver
*we have to put the calculator into degree mode in my class
