A guy wire is tied from the top to make a 45 degree angle w/the ground. what is the length of the rope? so i know i have 90, 45 & 45 for my angles, & the height is 45'. HELP!! Question 54193: I am working on the midsegments of trapezoids. I have trapezoid FGHI, the midpoints, JK. FG equation is x squared + x - 2. IH equation is x squared +3x -12. The midpoint, JK measurement is 8.
I have to find the indicated measure.
This is what I have so far,
x squared + x - 2 + x squared + 3x - 12= 16
2x squared + 4x - 14 = 16
2x squared + 4x -30 = 0
and this is where I am getting stuck.
