I have a right triangle with the adjacent = 2xcm, hypotenuse = 3xcm and the opposite = (x+9)cm
-----
Use Pythagoras to get:
(3x)^2 = (2x)^2 + (x+9)^2
----
5x^2 = x^2 + 18x + 81
---
4x^2 - 18x -81 = 0
----
x = 7.28
---
Solve for adj, hypo, and opp.

Stan H.
