Hi there,
Shortest side = 'x'
Second side = x + 5
Third side = 2x - 5
Perimeter = Three sides added together
52 ft = x + (x + 5) + (2x - 5)
52 ft = x + x + 5 + 2x - 5
Collect like terms
4x = 52 ft
x = 13 ft
Shortest side = 13 ft.
Second side = 18 ft.
Third side = 21 ft
