Question 978910: how to calculate the area of shaded redion between two isoceles triangles in which smaller triangle having the equal sides of unknown length is inside the bigger triangle having equal sides 6cm and both triangles base is 10 cm? both lie in same base.
Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Both triangles have the same base 10 cm.
The larger triangle has equal legs of 6 cm.
The smaller triangle has equals legs of x cm, where .
You can find the area of the large triangle but you cannot find the area of the small triangle so you can't find the shaded region which is the difference in area of the two triangles.
You need more information to solve.
