Question 963614: How do u solve the equation when it says the ratio of the angle measures in a triangle is 11:14:20. Find the angle measures. Then classify the triangle by its angle measures

11+14+20=45 There are 45 total parts of 180 degrees.
180 degrees/45 = 4 degrees per part
First angle has 11 parts, so (11)(4 degrees)=44 degrees
Second angle has 14 parts, so (14)(4 degrees)=56 degrees
Third angle has 20 parts, so (20)(4 degrees)=80 degrees
Since all angles are less than 90 degrees it is an acute triangle.
Since no two angles are equal, all sides have different lengths, so it is scalene.
ANSWER: The triangle is an acute scalene triangle with angles 44, 56, and 80 degrees.
