let x=vertex angle

the angles of a triangle (ANY TRIANGLE) sum to 180 degrees ... the 2 base angles of an isoceles triangle are equal

so, ((x/2)+16)+((x/2)+16)+x=180 ... 2x+32=180 ... 2x=148 ... x=74
