Question 884613: Given the following side lengths, determine whether it is possible to have a triangle with the dimensions given.
Q1: 2, 6, 11
Q2: 21, 38, 18
Is it YES/NO/BOTH

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The sum of the two shortest sides of a triangle is
always greater than the longest side.

Q1: 2, 6, 11
No because the two shortest sides would be 2 and 6
and 2+6=8 is not greater than the longest side 11.

Q2: 21, 38, 18
Yes, because the two shortest sides would be 21 and 18
and 21+18=39 is greater than the longests side 21.
