Is this a right triangle? If so, you can use the Pythagorean theorem.
where is the longest side.
If not, you cannot calculate it but you can find the range that it must fall between.

Contractors cannot afford to miss measurements.
The old rule is measure twice and cut once.
Go get a new job !
