Hi,
the two longer sides of a right triangle are 8cm and 10cm,
What is the length of the shorter side ?
applying the Pythagorean Theorem
x^2 + 8^2 = 10^2
x^2 = 100-64 = 36
x^2 = 36
x = 6cm (Tossing out the negative solution for unit measure)
