I've tried a variety of methods and no matter what the Area ends up being 15cm^2, so obviously my height and Base Length are wrong.

A triangle has a Base length of x + 4 and a perpendicular height of x + 3, it's area is 10cm^2.

Find the Base and Height of the Triangle

Area of a triangle=1/2*base*height
(1/2)(x+4)(x+3)=10
(x+4)(x+3)=20
x^2+7x+12=20
x^2+7x-8=0
(x+8)(x-1)=0
x=-8(reject)
or
x=1
Base=x+4=5cm
Height=x+3=4cm
