Question 827317: I need to know the angles of a triangle with measurements 2 feet high by 11 feet long. I believe the third measurement will be 11.8 feet. One angle is 90 degrees. What are the other two?

We have a right triangle with leg lengths of 2 and 11
We can find the measure of the angle opposite
the 2 length side by using tangent
tan(x) = opposite/adjacent
tan(x) = 2/11
so arctan(2/11) = 10.3 degrees
check out http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=arctan%282%2F11%29
Since the 3 angles = 180
90 + 10.3 + x = 180
100.3 + x = 180
x = 180 - 100.3 = 79.7 degrees
The three angles are 90, 10.3 and 79.7
