Question 792084: The lengths of the sides of a triangle are x+3,4x+1, and 5x. If its perimeter is 64, find the length of its sides.
Answer by waynest(281)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x + 3) + (4x + 1) + 5x = 64
x + 4x + 5x + 3 + 1 = 64
10x + 4 = 64
10x + 4 - 4 = 64 - 4
10x = 60
10x/10 = 60/10
x = 6
check:
(6 + 3) + (4(6) + 1) + 5(6) = 64
9 + 25 + 30 = 64
64 = 64
