Question 780723: i really need help with this question i need to turn it into an equation and solve it.....the perimeter of a triangle is 42 ft. the first side is 3 ft more than the second side. the third side is 1 ft less than twice the second side. find the measure of each side.

side 1=x+3
side 2=x
side 3=2x-1
------------------
x+3+x+2x-1=42
4x=42-2
4x=40
x=40/4
x=10
x+3=13
2x-1=19
