please help thank you. ive tried solving it by changing from degrees to radian but im not getting any of these answers.

If the side opposite angle x is 8, and the other sides are 7 and 12:

Solve for cos(x)

I don't know why you're guessing it's 7.
Also, hypotenuse applies only to right triangles.
