Question 702673: the largest angle is three times the smallest angle, and the smallest angle is 30 degrees less than the middle angle. What are the values of all three angles?
Answer by josgarithmetic(39625)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let m = middle angle measure
Let s = smallest angle
Let L= largest angle
the largest angle is three times the smallest angle (L=3s), and the smallest angle is 30 degrees less than the middle angle (s=m-30). What are the values of all three angles?

Those angles again,
m
s=m-30
L=3s

L=3(m-30) [by substitution]

Requirement of a triangle, L+s+m=180
3(m-30)+(m-30)+m=180
Find m.
Compute the other two angles' measures.
