Question 632697: The perimeter of a triangle is 25 inches. If side a is twice side b, which is half side c, what is the length of side b? Which is half of side c, side a or side b?
Answer by dfrazzetto(283)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P = a + b + c = 25
a = 2b
b = c/2
c = 2b = a
a = c
a = 10, c = 10, b = 5
Reading the problem another way:
a = 2b = c/2
b = b
a = 2b
c = 4b
7b = 25
b = 25/7 = 3.57143
