Here, hypotenuse = 30 ft
base = 24 ft
So height = square root( 30^2 -24^2)
= square root( 900 - 576)
= square root (324)
= 18
Therefore height = 18 ft.
So area of triangle = 1/2 * 24 * 18
= 216 square ft.
Required carpet = 216 square ft.
