Question 584372: Hello, I'm working on the following for MATH 421A(Acedemic Grade 10). I'm on unit 5 Trigonometric Ratios. I can understand a bit like how Trig' Ratios : of any acute angle, Finding size degree of each angle, Finding side lengths in any right angle and Finding angles in any right triangle. I dont know if i am looking at it wrong or just too long or what. But i have been on the same question now since last night and i think i need some help on it. I think i'm understanding the formulas a little bit. Question states : "Solve each triangle. Round each side length to the nearest unit and each angle to the nearest degree."
c=56, 33 degrees
This is how i did it :
"Nearest unit": X =33 degrees "THEN" 56 SIN 33 = 30.4 -> Answer1: 30cm
--
56
"Nearest degree": SIN-1 (33 / 56)= 36.1degrees "THEN" 90+36.1=126.1 "THEN"
180-126.1= 53.9 -> Answer2: 54 degrees
"Nearest unit again": SIN 54 degrees = 33 opp-->TAN 33 -> 23.9 ->Answer3: 24cm
-- --- --
B ajd 56
So i got every single question wrong in the back of the book.
These are the CORRECT ANSWERS:
Answer1: b=30cm Answer2:Right angle A = 57 degrees Answer3: a=47cam
Answer 1:Has a sign in the book i cant type, it is a right angle pointing to the right with a A beside it.
Answer 2 & 3: Have both lower case letters a & b and then = a unit (This case it's CM).
So i got them totally wrong, hopefully you can understand what i am trying to say and come up with a answer for me. If not, don't worry about it. I will just ask my teacher on Monday. But it would be really lovely if you could get back to me tonight or tomorrow!
Thank you very much.
