The legs of an isosceles right triangle are 5 inches long. Which is the length of the hypotenuse
Answer by jlshires(17) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
use the formula a^2+b^2=c^2 where c=the hypotenuse and a and b are each a leag of the right triangle
5^2+5^2=c^2
25+25=c^2
50=c^2
take the square root of both sides
giving you 7.07 = c
the other side is 7.07 inches
