Question 546256: "Determine the angle measures of the following triangle: The first angle is less than 90°. The second angle is 3/4 as large as the first angle. The third angle is 2/3 as large as the second." Help!!!
Answer by nyc_function(2741)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degrees.
angle 1 = x
angle 2 = 3x/4
angle 3 = (2/3)(3x/4)

x + 3x/4 + (2/3)(3x/4) = 180

After doing the math, I found angle 1 = 80 degrees, angle 2 = 60 degrees and angle 3 = 40 degrees.

The prove:
The sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degrees.

80 + 60 + 40 = 180

180 = 180...It checks!!
