Question 528718: suppose you double the side lenghts of a regular triangle. What happens to he angles? Explain
Answer by KMST(5328)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The angles will have the same measure. They will be congruent with the old angles.
The new triangle is said to be similar to the old one.
If you imagine the original triangle as "sitting" on a side that you can take as its base, imagine another identical triangle sitting next to it, looking as the same triangle, just shifted horizontally. The distance shifted is the length of the base, and it's the same distance between the tops of the triangles.
Now, carefully place another copy of the triangle on top of those tops.
You have built the double-sides triangle.
And did you notice the upside down triangle in the middle that is also identical to the three small triangles that you carefully placed?
