Question 519300: If two sides of a triangle are 15 cm and 20 cm long and the altitude to the 15 cm side is 8 cm, how long is the altitude to the 20 cm side?
I'm not really sure how to do this question. I think there is a theorem that gives the relationship between th e altitude and its side, but I don't know what it is.

Answer by scott8148(6628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
area = 1/2 * base * height

a = 1/2 * 15 * 8 = 60

a = 1/2 * 20 * h

10h = 60
