There is not enough information here.
If it is a right triangle, you could use the trig functions if you had more information. You need to know if the 40 M length is a leg or the hypotenuse.
If it is not a right triangle, you could find the length with the sine function if you know the opposite angle of the side you are looking for.
If it is a 30-60-90 triangle, the side you are given is derived from the formula /2 * s, with s being the hypotenuse.
This works out to s being 80m/3.
If you are looking for the leg opposite the 30 degree angle, it is 1/2 the hypotenuse, in this it will be 40m/3.
