Pythagorean Theorem -In a right angle triangle of lengths a and b (base and perpendicular or vice versa), and hypotenuse of length c is:
c2 = a2 + b2
So
25^2 = 7^2+ (base)^2
625 = 49 + base^2
Hence base^2 = 625-49
base = sqrt (576)
base = 24
