Hello,
We can write an equation to look like this:
x + 8 + 3x -2 + 2x-1=120
Combine like terms to get:
6x+5=120
Subtract 5 and divide by 6 to get:
x=19 1/6
Now plug this in to each one to get the lengths of the sides.
27 1/6
55 1/2
37 1/3
Add this up and it should come out to 120.
Make sense?
