I get confused with this question I know the answers from answer book and trial and error. I try to form into an quadratic equation like : h(h+4)=48cm(squared) but get confused plz help.

b=h+4
1/2 * h(h+4)=48
1/2(h^2+4h)=48
h^2+4h=96
h^2+4h-96=0
(h-8)(h+12)=0
h=8, b=12
