The perimeter of a rectangle is 288in. The length is 12 less than three times its width. FInd the dimensions of the rectangle
-----
P = 2(width + length)
----
288 = 2(w + 3w-12)
144 = 4w-12
4w = 156
width = 39 inches
------------------------
length = 3w-12 = 117-12 = 105 inches
