The base of the triangles is 4 cm and the sides are 6 cm. Min has been told to cut 3 pita triangles for every guest. there will be 250 guests. Each triangle is isosceles, with base 4cm and congruent sides 6cm. The height of this triangle is cm. The area of each triangle is then sq.cm. Since 3 of these are alloted for each guest, there sq.cm of pita bread alloted for each guest. Since there are 250 guests, Min needs a total of sq.cm. of pita bread. The area of each pita square is 20 cm x 20cm = 400 sq.cm. Let x = number of pita bread squares she will need. Then
