Question 35681: Hi,
I posted a problem recently and received a ressponse with the formula for the problem. The question was:
A triangle has vertices(-2,1)(5,1)aand(0,6). what is it's area?
I came up with 42 units square, am I right?

Answer by Earlsdon(6294)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you were to graph this triangle, you would see that the base (b) is 7 units and the height (h) is 5 units, so its (not it's) area can be found using the formula for the area of a triangle:

square units.
