Question 345405: I have to find the perimeter of a triangle if one side is 10 inches, another side is 1/3 of the perimeter, and the third side is 1/6 of the perimeter.
I know the perimeter of a triangle is a+b+c but I'm stuck there.

Let P = perimeter

So P = a+b+c.

Since "one side is 10 inches", we know that a=10.

Because "another side is 1/3 of the perimeter", we know that

Finally, since "the third side is 1/6 of the perimeter", so
