Question 311087: Juliann plans on drawing triangle ABC,where the measure of angle A can range from 50 to 60 degrees and the measure of angle B can range from 90 to 100 degrees.Given these conditions, what is the correct range of measures possible for angle C ?
1)20 to 40 degrees 2)30 to 50 degrees 3)80 to 90 degrees
4)120 to 130 degrees.

The smallest A can be is 50 and the smallest B can be is 90. 50 plus 90 is 140. 180 minus 140 is 40, so 40 is the largest C can be.

The largest A can be is 60 and the largest B can be is 100. 60 plus 100 is 160. 180 minus 160 is 20, so 20 is the smallest C can be.

Ergo,
