Question 304505: the base of a triangle is 2x + 2m, and the area is 2x squared-x-3m squared. Squared obviously means the little square sign at the top of the number. I couldn't get it on properly.
I know the formula is 1/2 base times height for the area of the triangle. How much longer is the base than the height??

Base=2x+2m=2(x+m)
Area=2x^2-x-3m
a=bh/2
bh=2a
h=2a/b
h=2(2x^2-x-3m)=2(x+m) cancel out the 2's.
h=(2x^2-x-3m)/(x+m)
