Question 285922: how can i find the measure of angle L if all im given is that one side equals 13 and the other is equal to 5
p.s there's also a 90 degree angle

5 x and 13 is a classic 5,12,13 right triangle.
but we aren't told where the right angle is
the legs might be 5 and 13.
we aren't told where angle L is either.
So there isn't enough info to pin it down though I am betting on 5,12,13
Since there is right angles we can pin it down to a few sides.
5^2+13^2=h^2
25+169=h^2
194=h^2
h=sqrt(194)=abt 13.9
so we could use sin cos and tan to find angle L if we knew where it was.
