Perimeter = a + b + c
inm our problem, we have
23 = 11 - x + 3x - 2 + x + 2
combining like terms, we get
23 = 3x + 11
subtract 11 to get
12 = 3x
divide by 3 to get
4 = x
So,
left = 11-x = 11- 4 = 7
right = 3x - 2 = 3*4 - 2 = 12 - 2 = 10
bottom = x + 2 = 4 + 2 = 6.
