the smallest angle of the triangle could either be 20 degrees or it could be 140 degrees.

if it's 20, then the other 2 angles have to be 80 degrees each.

if it's 140, then the other 2 angles have to be 20 degrees each.

sum of the interior angles of a triangle is 180 degrees.

two of the angles in an isosceles triangle have to be equal.
