The measure of the third angle in an isosceles triangle is 60% greater than the measure of each equal angle. Find the measure of the third angle.
.
Let x = measure of the two equal angles
then
1.60x = measure of third angle
.
x + x + 1.60x = 180
3.60x = 180
x = 50 (measure of equal angles)
.
Measure of third angle:
1.60x = 1.60(50) = 80 degrees
