Question 231127: side a = 15, angle a = 47 degrees
side b = 25, angle b = ?? degrees
side c = ?, angle c = ?? degrees
How do I solved for the unknowns?
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
side a = 15, angle a = 47 degrees
side b = 25, angle b = ?? degrees
side c = ?, angle c = ?? degrees
How do I solved for the unknowns?
-------------------
The Law of Sines is one way.
sin(A)/a = sin(B)/b = sin(C)/c
sin(47)/15 = sin(B)/25
sin(B) = 25*sin(47)/15 = ~ 1.2189
The sine is >1, so this is not a triangle.
---------------------
If you sketch it, you'll see that side a is too short to reach side c.
Email me at gsihoutx@aol.com for further info, or a sketch showing why it doesn't work.
