The sides of a right triangle are defined by the following formula:
a^2+b^2=C^2 where a & b are the 2 short legs & c is the hypotenuse ( the side opposite the right angle)
7^2+10^2=c^2
49=100=c^2
149=c^2
sqrt149=c
12.2=c ans.
Proof:
49+100=12.2^2
149~149
