Question 195465: AS part of a surveying project, a laser beam (point "L") is targeted from ground level to a point on a building (point "P") 60meters above the ground. Find the lenght of the laser beam (LP), and find the distance the laser is positioned from the building along the ground.The ground point is "B"

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use the sine and tangent definitions. Since you are only given one side and no angles, all you can do is give values in terms of other values.
Let the angle at L be called l
Then sine(l) = 60/LP
LP = 60/sine(l)
tangent(l) = 60/LB
LB = 60/tangent(l)
