Question 187912: Can anyone help with this question?
The length of a rectangle is twice its width. If the area of the rectangle is 98 yards ^2 , find its perimeter.

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L=2W
L*W=AREA
2W*W=98
2W^2=98
W^2=98/2
W^2=49
W=SQRT49
W=7 ANS. FOR THE WIDTH.
L=2*7=14 ANS. FOR THE LENGTH.
PROOF:
7*14=98
98=98
